Page Conventions
Providing Chinafake info since 2014! |
While this page and these guidelines may seem intimidating at first, the good thing about wikis are that pages are constantly being improved on! Don't sweat it if you can't get everything exactly right at first. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask in our help desk forum or in our Discord server! Some of this styling can be automated by using the options here to create a page. Have fun!

Toy pages[edit]
Pages for individual items should always include the {{Knockoffs}} template above all page content, then any other tophats[1] (if needed), and then the page content, which should be structured somewhat like this:
- Brief sentence talking about the toy and its manufacturer
- Appearance heading
- Detailed description of the toy's appearance, subheadings for variants if needed
- Functions heading
- Detailed description of the item's functions
- Trivia heading (if needed)
- Trivia regarding the item in a bullet point list (again, if needed)
- Gallery heading
- Gallery
For page galleries make sure to use an actual gallery tag for the gallery, it makes editing the page a lot easier and makes formatting images easier too.
If necessary, a separate videos heading and gallery should be made, but only if there is an overwhelming amount of videos that can not be mixed in to the main gallery effectively. In rare circumstances (a good example is Funny Car King) where there are many images and videos of many variants, subheadings and individual photo and video galleries may be necessary. Do note that this is a very rare thing, however.
For a couple of good pages to use as examples, check out the aforementioned Funny Car King page as well as Funny Crawl Spider.
Company pages[edit]
Company pages should include the {{Company}} template above all page content, then a short summary of the company, then history and any other notable sections. A typical company page should be structured somewhat like this:
- Brief sentence about the company and what they do
- History section
- Other, optional sections (e.g. a notable toy line)
- Gallery (if there is any company-related media that needs to be showcased, such as logos or promotional content not pertaining to a specific product)
General/other pages[edit]
Almost all pages should contain the {{PageTop}}, {{ForumTop}}, or {{BlogTop}} templates at the top of the page. PageTop is automatically transcluded[2] by the Knockoffs and Company templates. ForumTop is automatically transcluded via the {{Forumheader}} template, automatically added to most forum pages when they are created. The BlogTop template has to be added manually for now. The only places where you should need to add PageTop and ForumTop directly are on category pages. ForumTop and BlogTop are for use on forum and blog pages respectively, and PageTop is for use on any page that doesn't fall into those two categories.
