Evilstick is a battery operated toy wand that was made by an unknown company. It gained infamy in November of 2014 after it was found that some versions contained a picture of a demon/vampire girl cutting herself.

Appearance[edit]

The top of the wand resembles a flower with a reflective mylar foil cutout covering the face of the wand. If the foil is removed or the button is pushed, an image of a monster or anime girl[1][2][3][4] is shown in the center of the flower. The handle has swirl details with a heart shaped button. The wand came in orange, pink, white and yellow, with some pink wands appearing orange under specific lighting.

Functions[edit]

When the button on the wand's handle is pressed, the wand will light up the picture in the center of the flower through the foil whilst playing a cackling sound featured in several other Halloween toys and decor. Some "good" versions also make glitter sounds or music[citation needed].

Trivia[edit]

  • The toy can come with pictures other than the one of the girl cutting herself[5].
    • Just like this image, these are also stolen; one has a fanart of Feena Fam Earthlight as its picture, while another has this image of three angels.
    • The other images still have not been found.
  • There is a picture of Sakura Kinomoto and Kero, from the anime Cardcaptor Sakura. Sakura has been edited to look like she is holding the Evilstick[6], and Kero does not appear to be edited at all.
  • The image of the girl cutting herself belongs to a photographer called Butcher Ludwig, that has been edited to include red eyes and a blue background.[7]
  • The demo pictures on the card backing use a drawing of Kouyama Mitsuki from Full Moon Wo Sagashite.
  • Evilstick is a ripoff of the Disney Princess Talking Wand from 2004[8], Araneid Stick Gramary also shares the same sculpt mold.
