"Funny Car King Is Dead Yes" -Shenien, 2023 |
NOTE: Do not add a malfunction if there is no video evidence of a toy affected by it.
Knockoff toys tend to have a lot of different types of malfunctions (most of them are caused by their low quality). Here are some of them:
Flashing lights don't flash[edit]
This malfunction can be quite common in knockoff toys that have been used for a long period of time. If a toy is affected by this malfunction, its lights will stop flashing and stay still the whole time. This malfunction happens when the switch that turns on and off the lights stops working.
To fix this malfunction, try to open the toy by removing its screws, and put the switch back in working order.
The toy barely moves[edit]
This malfunction only affects bump n go toys. When a toy is affected by this malfunction, it will keep moving front and back while spinning slowly.
To fix this malfunction, try to replace the wheels or gears of the bump n go motor. An example of this malfunction is here.
Weird low pitch[edit]
Sometimes, a knockoff toy can start to make noises that are lower pitched than normal.
To fix this malfunction, change the toy's batteries (they may be low). If the toy keeps making weird noises, try to hit it gently (an example can be seen in this video).
Soundchip doesn't reset[edit]
Usually, when a toy gets turned off, its soundchip resets so, when you turn the toy back on, it will start playing its sounds/song from the beginning. Sometimes, though, when you turn off the toy, the soundchip will simply pause.
This malfunction can be pretty hard to fix, since you may need to replace the soundchip with a new one. Luckily, it happens very rarely. It can be seen in the second half of (video removed, try to replace with new one ASAP).
Lights stop working[edit]
This malfunction mainly affects toys used for long periods of time. If a toy is affected by it, one or more of its lights will stop working.
To fix this malfunction, try to replace the broken lights with new ones. It can be pretty hard to fix, since you may need to replace the old wires with new ones. It can be seen in (video removed, try to replace with new one ASAP).
Weird high pitch[edit]
This malfunction can be caused by one of the toy‘s capacitors dying. It will result the toy in still working normally, but it will play its music in a pitch higher than usual. It’s seen in (video removed, try to replace with new one ASAP).
Distorted noises[edit]
This glitch is caused by an unknown reason. It will result the toy in making weird, distorted noises rather than playing its sounds normally. Again, it can be seen at the start of (video removed, try to replace with new one ASAP).
