T-Cat is a Meow-Chi knockoff that was made and sold by many different companies.

Appearance[edit]

There are two types, walking models and bump and go models. Most T-Cats use the bump and go to model which has a similar appearance to an Aibo ERS-111. They can come molded in either metallic grey or white.

Versions[edit]

Several versions of T-Cat, including merchandise which uses the toy's design exist.

Electronic Toys[edit]

T-Cat & T-Cat 200X[edit]

These T-Cats have red faces and mostly use the bump and go model. T-Cat was distributed in Japan by TOHO as T-Cat 2000 in white, while an unidentified company sold the toy in silver with the same name.

Machine Cat[edit]

This version uses either model and usually has a red face.

Guo Kai[edit]

This version uses the bump and go model and is named after the company that distributed them. There are cat and dog versions of T-Cat. The cat has a red face, and the dog has a purple face. The cat is only known to come in white or silver. The dog version has also been sold as "Walking Robot Dog".

  • The dog version resembles Popito Jr. This could mean that Teamforce likely had some involvement with this version.
  • Their boxes are based on Poo-Chi's.[1]

Merchandise[edit]

Lighter[edit]

A lighter version sold by an unknown company is known to exist. It is only known to come in blue with a yellow visor that has black hearts.

Toy Keyboard[edit]

Sold by an unknown company as "Electronic Organ". It has pictures of fruits on its keys. The toy is only known to come in orange with a silver T-Cat on it. The T-Cat has a red visor with two yellow hearts.

Functions[edit]

When turned on, they move about with bump and go action. Their faces also light up while their legs move.

Trivia[edit]

  • The year in T-Cat 200X's name corresponds to the year of production.
  • Teamforce could have produced these, while several different companies distributed them.
