Appearance[edit]

The unit depicts a realistic-like tank that has a few indications of a jet (the most notable example is the jet front poking out). It has a small barrel with a red, transparent tip and Desert Yellow camoflaugue. The camoflauge is presumed to be hand-picked and not autogenerated and the later release DIDAI version has the same looks as the LD Toys’ camoflauge, but it looks to be not the same. It has uncoloured wheels and tracks and has 2 thin green wheels that help the bump and go move smoothly. It has 2 transparent red windows on the front of the tank. It also has decals on the sides reading “TRANSFORMS”, with the “MS” lettering being red. The later release by DIDAI has the decals removed.

Function[edit]

When the unit is turned on, it will move around with bump and go action. The lights on the tank’s red windows flash. After a few seconds, the tank will slowly move the front of the jet forward while the front part of the tracks will start to flip. Immediately, the top of the jet flings to the front while the front part of the tracks fully flip to the other side, while wings come out from the sides of the tank, after a while, the tank’s transforming parts go back to their tank position, repeating the process. Its soundchip plays a variation of the “Fire! Fire!” IC, but with different sound effects. DIDAI’s version also has this same chip as the LD Toys version.

Trivia[edit]

  • A reason how or why DIDAI would use LD Toys mechanism, mold and even soundchip for their own transforming tank is unknown.
  • two videos exists of the LD Toys version.
  • It was recently found that another even older version of Tank and Airplane that was produced by an identified company. The EPToys photo was dated 2007.
